Open source cloud infrastructure automation specialist Opscode has gotten a $19.5 million C round from new backer Ignition Partners with follow-on investments from existing financiers Battery Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
The new money means the not-yet-four-year-old start-up has seen a total of $33 million in funding. It says the round was oversubscribed.
Ignition partner and former Microsoft CFO John Connors will join the Opscode board.
CEO Mitch Hill said the start-up is seeing rapid enterprise adoption and attracting Fortune 500s at an “unprecedented rate for a company at our stage.”
